Sikha is a Commerce Graduate and is an Associate Member of the ICSI, where she was an all-India rank holder. She has also qualified ICMAI final examinations.
Sikha’s core areas of expertise include insolvency law, law on security interests, corporate laws and financial regulations. She is known for her intensive legal analysis and drafting skills.
Her academic writings, besides several articles published in leading journals, include the book titled Law Relating to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016, the first authoritative commentary on the new law, co-authored with Vinod Kothari. In addition, she wrote Guide to Independent Directors (Taxmann) and Taxation of Lease Transactions in India, (Co-author Vinod Kothari). Sikha has also been the lead help in revised editions of Vinod Kothari’s Securitisation, Asset Reconstruction and Enforcement of Security Interests, a LexisNexis publication.
Her articles/viewpoints have appeared in The Hindu, BusinessLine, IndiaCorpLaw Blog, Chartered Secretary, Taxmann, Bar & Bench, etc.
