Anita, a commerce graduate and an Associate Member of the ICSI, is the Head of financial services team of Vinod Kothari Consultants, handling client services on non-banking financial regulations, leasing, housing finance, new age lending, etc. Anita has done comprehensive writing and speaking on financial sector regulations.

With her years of focus, Anita has carved a niche for herself in advisory and consultancy services for NBFCs and HFCs. The clientele handled by her spans the spectrum from well-established NBFCs to cutting-edge new-age players and fintech lenders. Anita’s scope of work encompasses digital lending, data privacy and data protection,  FinTech regulations, structuring and documentation of intricate financial transactions. Clients value her eye for detail and the ability to provide practical solutions to intriguing issues.

On the academic front, her articles and viewpoints have been referenced by reputable publications such as the Economic Times and Financial Express, and various journals published by professional bodies. She is a regular faculty at educational courses and seminars conducted inhouse as well as organised by ICSI, ICAI and other professional institutes on several topics relating to NBFCs, PMLA laws, fintech regulations, etc.

She is the principal contributor in the book titled Law and Practice of Non-Banking Financial Companies, a LexisNexis publication. She has also contributed to the book Securitisation and Transfer of Loan Exposures and Law and Practice Relating to Corporate Bonds & Debentures, published by Taxmann Publications.
