Recourse - The ability of an investor/ purchaser to seek payment against an investment to the originator of the investment. For example, in a securitisation transaction, the right of the investor to seek payment from the originator, or in case of a negotiable instrument, the right to seek payment from the endorser of the instrument. See also limited recourse.
